Tangshan Maritime Institute ( School Code: 14696) is a provincial full-time higher vocational college accredited by the Ministry of Education and approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province. The school is located in the Beijing Caofeidian International Vocational Education Town, Caofeidian District, Tangshan City, on the west-central coast of the Bohai Sea. It is an international characteristic college established by UNESCO as the "World Vocational and Technical Education and Training Base".
The school has 9 teaching units including the School of Marine Engineering, the School of Fisheries Economics, the School of Transportation, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Business and Tourism, the School of Digital Technology, the School of Sports and Art, the School of Marxism, and the School of International Education. Students and faculty of the school have collectively won 116 awards in high-level skills competitions at the provincial level or above. The school has also successfully hosted several major provincial competitions, including the Hebei Province Digital Technology Application Skills Competition. Faculty Directory
Tangshan Maritime institute has always adhered to the construction of teachers' ethics as the core of the teaching team construction, and the teaching innovation team and the professor team have been promoted in coordination. The "professor + industry leading talents" have led the way to create a composite professional group leader with international influence, domestic reputation and local authority, and created a "dual-teacher" teacher team with international vision who is "high in morals, good at teaching, able to do, and able to research and develop". He graduated from Beijing Institute of Aeronautics in 1960 and stayed in school to pursue a postgraduate degree; in 1986, he served as chief engineer and first chief designer of China Gas Turbine Research Institute (formerly Institute 624); in 1995, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, affiliated to the Department of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering. He has been engaged in the design and research of aviation engines for a long time. Won the title of National Model Worker, the "Lifetime Dedication Award" of the Aviation Laurel Award, the Special Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the Capital Spiritual Civilization Construction Award, and the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation.

School of Marxism
Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the School of Marxism fully implements the national directives on ideological and political education in colleges and universities. With the mission of cultivating qualified builders and successors of socialism, the school insists on the integrated advancement of ideological and political courses and curriculum-based ideological instruction, maximizing the role of ideological and political theory courses as the primary channel. The school comprises seven teaching and research sections and offers eight courses: An Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Rule of Law, Current Affairs and Policies, History of the Communist Party of China, Mental Health Education, Labor Education, and Military Theory. In addition to teaching these ideological and political theory courses, the departments also provide psychological counseling services for all students and guide student societies related to ideological and psychological development.
