Mr. Yao Yichun, President of China POCY Group, attended the UNESCO 70th Anniversary Celebration held in Paris, France. During the event, Mr. Yao was cordially received by Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO, and reached a consensus on deepening international cooperation in vocational education.

Mr. Yao also met with Mr. Hao Ping, Vice Minister of Education of China and President of the UNESCO General Conference, and Mr. Du Yue, Secretary-General of the National Commission of the People’s Republic of China for UNESCO.

At UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, Mr. Yao Yichun, President of China POCY Group presented a porcelain vase crafted in Tangshan, representing the “China Craftsman Valley,” to Mr. Tang Qian, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education.

UNESCO and the Beijing Caofeidian International Vocational Education Town held a formal signing ceremony at the Paris Headquarters. Mr. Jean-Yves Le Saux, Director of the Division of Strategic Planning at UNESCO, and Mr. Yao Yichun, President of China POCY Group signed the cooperation agreements on behalf of both parties. The agreements included: 1. Hosting the International Conference: Follow-up to the Third International Congress on TVET in Tangshan, Hebei Province. 2. Establishing the “World Vocational Education and Training Base” at Beijing Caofeidian International Vocational Education Town.

The “Tangshan Declaration” was released at the conference, outlining four core priorities: 1. Anticipating and assessing skills demand 2. Expanding access to skills development 3. Enhancing the transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications 4. Promoting skills use across diverse professions and fostering entrepreneurship UNESCO committed to supporting the implementation of this new《Skills Agenda》 through UNEVOC and related networks.
